The most unique Johnnie Walker Blue Label event you will ever see

At RareWine, we are no strangers to creating extraordinary moments for our community of collectors and investors. But even for us, the Johnnie Walker Blue Label Tasting at Aalborg Tårnet was something truly exceptional.

105 meters above sea level, in the iconic Aalborg Tower, we gathered a select group of our collector clients for an evening dedicated to one of the world’s most precious spirits: Johnnie Walker Blue Label.

Johnnie Walker is, without question, the world’s best-selling Scotch. But beyond the volume and global reach, the Blue Label series represents some of the rarest and most exquisite blends ever created. Only one in 10,000 casks makes the cut - a standard of rarity and quality that resonates perfectly with RareWine’s philosophy.

For this night, we wanted to frame Blue Label in a way it had never been seen before in Scandinavia: a complete line-up of both Blue Label classics and the fabled “Ghost & Rare” editions, built from whiskies of legendary, closed distilleries such as Pittyvaich, Port Dundas, and Glenury Royal. To our knowledge, a line-up like this has never been presented together in Northern Europe.

And what better place to set the stage than Aalborg Tårnet - our city’s proud landmark, overlooking the very streets where RareWine has grown from a local dream into a global company.

Together with Johnnie Walker and the brilliant whisky authority Mikael Lundén, we explored six extraordinary expressions:

Each drop came with its own story, its own texture, and its own layer of history – and Mikael Lundén brought them all to life with the kind of passion and eloquence that left the room in awe.

A tasting of this caliber deserves more than glasses and nosing notes. It deserves a stage.

We teamed up with the local cocktail magicians at Gedulgt, who designed a special Blue Label cocktail exclusively for the event. And to complement the whiskies, Restaurant Struktur crafted a bespoke three-course BLUE dinner, elevating the experience into something unforgettable.

As our CMO, Lars Granat Jensen, said during the evening:

“It is not enough to talk about rarity. We have to show it, feel it, and taste it together. That is what makes moments like this so powerful.”

From the sweeping view of Aalborg’s skyline to the rarest bottles of Johnnie Walker ever assembled in Scandinavia, the night was a celebration of what we strive for at RareWine: to connect people with extraordinary bottles and unforgettable experiences.

We painted Aalborg blue that evening - and for everyone in the Tower, it was more than a tasting. It was history in a glass. And once again, our beloved internal event team created a night to remember.
